Bruce Wickstrom

A born problem-solver and creative talent, Bruce is our builder-in-chief. He runs BuiltForm's construction, design/build and development projects with high standards and a deep appreciation for craft and aesthetics. Also a partner in development projects Bruce wears many hats.

He first learned how to build at the age of 13 as part of his father’s construction collective, working on extensive remodels and innovative ground-up custom houses and barns throughout central Vermont until relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area.

After working as a carpenter and site superintendent with Zack | de Vito Architecture for much of the 1990's, Bruce took a hiatus to undertake the conception, design and construction of a 4,000 sq. ft. custom adobe castle on the Arizona/Mexico border. He returned to BuiltForm in 2000.

Bruce attended The Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science and studied design, sculpture, playwriting and acting. Bruce loves working on his race cars, weekend building projects with his son, and entertaining with his wife and friends.
